Chepchumba
Nearly two months ago, this eight year old arrived to Kimbilio Hospice, emaciated beyond anything our Living Room team had ever seen before or imagined compatible with life. On her arrival, Chepchumba weighed a mere 13 pounds. Special feedings, medical treatment and constant care were implemented; and by God’s grace, this child has come back to life.
As wonderful as it is to watch her grow before our eyes (gaining nine pounds in eight weeks), we have been most amazed by the beautiful joy that radiates through her weakness. Her gentle laughter is healing to us all.
