The theme of the conference whose theme will be "Investing to save lives: The Role of Public-Private Sector Partnerships". The Conference will bring together First Ladies, Parliamentarians, Ministers of Health, Health Professionals, Scientists, Advocates against cancer, Corporate entities and other relevant stakeholders. Nestled in the lush landscape of Kipkaren in Eldoret County,Kimbilio Hospice is a lifesaver of sorts for area residents. The inpatient hospice started in 2010 as part of a community based program and shelter for 8 patients. In 2011, a larger hospice was built to cater to more patients, increasing the occupancy to 24.

Filmmakers Kimberly Nunez-North and Travis North have completed The Space Between documentary, which focuses on the effects of poverty on healthcare in Kenya and the increasing importance of palliative care. The Space Between profiles four guests at Living Room’s Kimbilio Hospice as well as Juli McGowan Boit. The feature-length documentary will be shown at a private benefit screening in Los Angeles on December 8.
