50 Reasons to Run, Day 14: Chepchumba

Charlene Chepchumba
Born: 2003
Recurring Guest at Living Room since March 4, 2011

In March of 2011, Chepchumba arrived at Kimbilio Hospice, emaciated beyond anything the Living Room team had ever seen before or could imagine to be compatible with life. At the time of her arrival, eight year-old Chepchumba weighed a mere thirteen pounds. Special feedings and constant care were implemented, and by the grace of God, this child came back to life. Since Chepchumba’s arrival, her gentle laughter and welcoming eyes have brought healing to many who have had the privilege of encountering her. Due to challenges within her family, as well as the intense care required for someone in her condition, the Living Room continues to research the best ways to treat Chepchumba and is asking that the Lord would provide a permanent home for this beautiful little girl.

Chepchumba is worth running for
